Bombed my IR, does this kill my chances @ Rotman, Schulich? [#permalink]

I was mildly disappointed at my unofficial GMAT Score, I was hoping to get into the 700-club.
But got my official report today. Was satisfied with my AWA (6.0) but was shocked to see my IR score (2/13%)
To me this seems like a very unbalanced report card
Quant 42, Verbal 40
Awa 6.0, IR 2.0
Does this kill my chances of getting into Canadian schools?
I've read articles that most U.S. programs are not taking IR into account this year, but I've got no idea about Canadian schools.

I don't think it kills your chances given that top schools have deemphasized IR this year.

It's much harder to step in your shoes and work to the point of achieving it.

I agree completely with AbhiJ: the IR isn't going to be taken seriously by top schools anywhere, at least for now. A huge proportion of applicants are going to submit GMAT scores without the IR section this year, and it just wouldn't be fair to take the IR into consideration for only a handful of students. So don't worry about the IR, and just celebrate the fact that you came awfully close to the 700 club.
