Books/cases in print or digital? Briefcase size? [#permalink] New post 28 Nov 2013, 09:21
My family is looking to get me a nice leather bag for my birthday soon. I'm not sure how much print material I'll carry as a b-school student and the size of the bag I get will depend on that question. If I have the choice, I prefer to read digitally (iPad/iPhone/computer) but I'm not sure if cases are printed on paper or are available digitally. I'm hoping textbooks are available in digital format as well?

If you're in a program now, can you give me a sense of your daily-carry requirements in terms of books and cases?

Thanks!

At Duke, we get printed coursepacks for each class and it is usually enough to fill a 1.5' 3 ring binder. I believe there is an e-version available but I've never used it. You'll want to take lots of notes on your case materials so a printed version may be ideal.

I assume most b-schools have lockers so you can keep your coursepacks there. I usually just take out the case and some optional reading with me to class so my bag is very light.
