Books with the Toughest GMAT Prep [#permalink] New post 31 Mar 2010, 09:39
Hi Everyone,

I actually bought into a couple of books (OG12 and Barrons), but I was wondering if there is a set of books for the GMAT, which can provide the absolute toughest questions that one might encounter in the GMAT. Kaplan is apparently coming out with their next 800 book (hope its good) but aside, is there another book/prep material that can accomplish it without over-doing?

Thanks,
KK

(I'm new here and searched for an answer here but couldnt find a pointed answer, pls forgive me if this is a re-post or something)

i'm once i go through all the manhattan gmat and og books, i'm going to study lsat questions for cr and rc because i've heard they are just as hard (or harder) than the toughest gmat questions.

Thanks for the reply. Now I heard the Manhattans don't have a lot of practice material, what would be the best material other than the OGs for Quant and verbal?

kaplan premier has 5 cat's that i plan on doing...i don't think the book itself has very many questions.

gmat club challenges are where i'm going to get the most of my math practice after og's and manhattan.

lsat logical reasoning = gmat critical reasoning so i'm going to practice the type of cr questions that i am weak in using an lsat book that breaks down the question by type. also going to do a lot of lsat reading comprehension. i figure if i just sit down and do a ton of them, gmat rc will seem like a piece of cake compared to the lsat rc which is a lot longer and more complex.

I'm seeing on the board that the real GMAT quant questions get way harder once you're in the 750 range....now would the gmat club quant questions cover this range of difficulty?

Yes - that's what they were designed for.

Thanks bb! What else would you suggest apart from the gmat club tests that would cover the toughest ones?

I have heard jeff sackman had a collection of 100 hardest quant questions, but I have not tried it myself. He is not very talkative with me for some reason :?
