agree that it's odd that those were admitted while the class was apparently oversubscribed, but then so much doesn't make sense about the whole MBA application process anyway...
hope you all have good backup!!!

Yeah it is a little weird. I definitely was accepted off the Booth WL at a time when it was way oversubscribed (around 650 people in the directory). I guess that shows that you can never really know.

Booth finally rejected me yesterday. I suppose I have the distinct "honor" of being strung along for the entire summer, rejected 2 additional weeks after the folks above. The school sent a message saying that they are giving the "rare opportunity" to get a feedback session where they will attempt to justify themselves and to tell me to be hopeful and do a little jig again/reapply a third time for their perverse entertainment - with no guarantees or substantial additional consideration. They sent the same letter about the class is too full (despite the fact that they were willing to oversubscribe which means that space is not the issue).

Got the ding letter yesterday with the mention of the "rare opportunity." They also offered me an application fee waiver if I decide to reapply - I will not though.

I still haven't heard back either. Any word on what the next steps are to getting the personalized feedback?
