My interviewer at UNC just called to give me the news that I got into the MBA program there.

I already got an acceptance from BU with a $70,000 scholarship ($35,000 /yr)

Now I'm in quite a dilemma on which program to choose.

I am basically looking at pursuing an MBA specialising in Marketing & a bit of entrepreneurship.

Would love to hear your point of view and get some more information it would make it easier to make a decision.

Tough call with the scholarship in play. Without the scholarship, it would be UNC hands down just due to the ranking--they are nowhere close in terms of reputation and rank. The scholarship is attractive, but you will likely get access to better recruiters and higher post MBA pay with the KF degree, so it could be a wash down the road. If your plan is to work in Boston or New England after b-school, BU might be a good play---the UNC network will be broader and allow you to go farther. I always recommend people go to the best b-school they can get into in general. What you might do is to notify UNC of your scholarship and ask them if there is any consideration for financial aid at KF for someone with your qualifications. Tell them you'd committ if they could provide some funds. Sometimes that works and if it does, you'd have the best of both worlds. Ultimately, however, it's well worth the money to go to a top 15 school, as it pays dividends forever.

Thanks! A couple of people have suggested writing to KF about the scholarship offer from BU and see what they say. But another consideration for the BU scholarship is that it is $35k per year and that is a lot of debt I can avoid. I will have to weigh my decision very carefully.
