My interviewer at UNC just called to give me the news that I got into the MBA program there.

I already got an acceptance from BU with a $70,000 scholarship ($35,000 /yr)

Now I'm in quite a dilemma on which program to choose.

I am basically looking at pursuing an MBA specialising in Marketing & a bit of entrepreneurship.

Would love to hear your point of view and get some more information it would make it easier to make a decision.

Hi!

Congratulations!! Tough decision :)

UNC is a top 25 program, vs. BU ranked at #40 (looking at US News & World report rankings). So that is worth considering. In taking a quick look at the two program's concentrations, it looks like they both offer robust marketing concentrations, but only BU offers an entrepreneurship track. So, I would suggest that you take a look at the course offerings at each school in those two areas of interest and see what you think (if you haven't already). Location is also something worth considering -- do you know where you want to live/work after your MBA? If you want to be in Boston or the northeast, BU could offer an advantage on the recruiting front. Or, if you prefer to be in the south or in the midatlantic region, UNC could be better. I would take a look at the recruiting/placement stats from each school and see which better meets your needs in terms of geographically and in terms of industry, too. At the end of the day, it's a very personal decision -- you should consider additional factors like: class size, location (city/vs college town?), community, culture, weather, facilities, curriculum, teaching style, professors, etc. And of course, you have the scholarship to consider with BU - that's a lot of money!

Unfortunately, I can't make the decision for you, but I hope this gives you some ideas on what to consider as you make your decision.

Good luck!
