Branding and positioning [#permalink] New post 19 Nov 2011, 00:16
Hi, Stacy.

First, many thanks for all your business school guides that are available on your web-site.

Would you please be so kind to evaluate my profile and give an advice on the way I should brand myself?

Education: Bachelor of Science in International Economics, GPA: 4. The school is top 1 in Uzbekistan, yet it's unknown in USA at all.

Work experience: 2 years in environmental project as an administrative and finance assistant (responsible for administrative and financial issues of the project). Half a year abroad as a business development consultant.

GMAT: 750 (Q49, V44)

Other details: 25 years, won a country Olympiad on Macro and Micro economics hold among bachelor level students in my country.

Why MBA: too many reasons.

Targeted schools: visible on my profile.

Stacy, I'm currently on my essay part. Would you, please, give me any advice on addressing the questions, positioning myself?

Will my 99 in TOEFL create a problem for my applications?

A low blow for all your work

Hi navra,

Thanks for posting. Regarding the essay questions, I would first take a step back and identify what you would like an admissions team to come away with after having read your application. Do you want them to consider you an entrepreneur, a leader, or something else? After you have identified this, then you can look to your personal experiences to find specific examples that support these traits. Your numbers are excellent- now you need to focus on your personal essays and recommendations to support your "personal brand". Unfortunately I cannot tell you what your personal brand is, however if you spend some time on this I have no doubt you will discover it.

Here is some school specific advice for one of the programs you are looking at:
