Breaks: 5, 7, 8 or 10 minutes? [#permalink] New post 28 May 2010, 23:40
Hi,

I'm just wondering how much time last the two breaks in the real exam.

Although in the Official Guide 11 it's said that the breaks last 5 minutes each, I've read somewhere that they last 10'.

I'm not sure if 5 min is enough to go to the restroom, drink some water/redbull/etc, and eat a chocolate bar...

thanks

You get 2 breaks, 8 mins each. And yes, you'd better learn how to pee faster ;) (you'll have to check out and then check back in)

Breaks used to be 10 mins each but got cut down to 8.

thanks for the clarification... i hope 8 mins is enough due to the overhead time of checkin/out. I also read in Manhattan Gmat Uncovered (pdf online) that it is 8 mins.

gotta practice this too!
