I think it's definitely a good sign for those who are applying this year, as the economy is further recoverying from downturn. I would expect the application volume to drop some more, making it a bit easier to get accepted.

Now is probably a better time to be heading to school. You will be recruiting during a time when companies are actually hiring in decent numbers.
