Thus, either set is OK

the Q is asking us to find the value of C^D. From either of the given conditions we can express C in terms of D only. Is this OK. We dont know the value of D here. How can we determine C^D ?

C^D = C^(3D-8)

=> D = 3D-8
=> D = 4

I guess remaining steps are easy to follow . Let me know if u still have qns

I thought the equation was C^D = C^D = (1/C)^3D-8 which is different from
C^D = (1/C)^(3D-8)
Suddenly you have put the paranthesis around 3D-8. It completly changes the meaning.

you mean to say that 3D-8 is only power to C but not for 1/C..i'm still confused
