Gaurava,

The data on students' average work experience that schools's cite in their admissions statistics may well be your work experience at time of matriculation, but their decision whether to admit you will be based on your actual work experience at the time of application. That is, they admit people based on quality of actual work experience to date, not on quantity of work experience at some future date.

Gaurava,

The formula for calculating work experience may vary from school to school, so I recommend emailing them directly and asking them how they calculate. This is a legitimate question to pose to them. Matriculation means essentially "enrollment." You begin matriculating at a school when you begin classes there.
