Hi Guys,
I have a question, in business school do classes allow you to use calculators during the exams? if so, are there any restrictions?
I have a TI-89 that i would love to use in B-School because it allows you to upload a financial calculator on to it similar to the BA II and also upload a statistic calculator.

can anyone chime in about financial calculators? wharton makes it seem as though we have to have one but only suggests a couple of models (hp 17bII+ and 19bII) i know there have to be older models or other brands that will suffice and wont cost me $200

You can get a 12c for about $70 but will have to learn reverse polish.

Never had a class where it was an issue. I almost always used my laptop for calculations unless they were so simple that it was easier to use a calculator. RF

will the TI BAII+ work for most financial stuff? it's cheaper than the HP's but seems like it does everything i'd need

Seems fine. Nowhere near as cool as a 12c though.

I have a 12c and have never used the financial functions in class or on an exam. For any exams I've had that required financial calculations, laptops were permitted. So you'll be fine with the BAII+. Some of my classmates don't even have financial calculators (most of the ex-engineers seem to still use graphing calculators) and haven't seemed to have any problems.
