Who's actively working on the Ross essays? How close are your drafts to completion? I was impressed with my initial drafts, but when I read them now, they stink.
I am. I think they're pretty much done. I got the reviewed versions back from my reviewers, and the response was mostly positive. They recommended a few style and content tweaks.
I think I am pretty much ready to stop working on them, which to be honest kind of freaks me out. I feel like I should keep working on them until its time to submit them, but yesterday I mostly stared at them for 2 hours, unable to find anything else that I really wanted to change.

Just wanted to visit this thread and re-state: UM/Ross is a great school.
Good luck to all. L.

they take about 425 students every year and divide them into 6 sections of 70 each.

Visited Ross yesterday and I think it is a wonderful school. I met with a couple of my friends that I had not met for a while and they did give me a pretty good insight into the school. The school does seem to take the "multidisciplinary" approach to a whole new level. While the new building looks to be awesome, the current one seems a little cramped. Attended a class where the professor was "cold-calling" a lot of students, and I thought it was a little funny (as an outsider of course) to see students try to wiggle their way through. But the professor challenged a lot of the "generic" answers given by students, essentially trying to make the students think beyond the case.
Lots of Indians- my friend said that his class has about 20% Indians and that it is not a very popular school amongst the European applicants.
My wife also went on a separate tour/info session for partners and she attended the class as well. She did seem to like the school too.
When compared to Kellogg and Chicago, Ross feels like it is part of a bigger university (in terms of size, which it is). I did not really care much for the city of Ann Arbor.
But all in all- great school for general management/consulting, my area of interest and would love to attend Ross

Hey nervous, you are beginning to sound like me.
Re:competition, lets think what the ad-com will do.
Unless he is St.Aviroop, the ad-com will choose the pretty russian over the geeky indian.

I visited on Friday, and I also thought it was a great program. The M.A.P. really separates Ross from other schools! Unfortunately, I am a interested in investments, and they do not seem too geared towards that field. I realize business school is business school, and finance will always get a warm reception, but is there anyone else with strong interest in investments that is applying to Ross?

Unofficial will do. You need to submit the official ones after admission.
