Got accepted into Marshall as a R1 applicant...any others out there considering the school? The administration & students have all been helpful & enthusiastic & it seems like a vibrant student community...just trying to convince myself on the power of the SC network, since I have little to no intention of leaving SoCal after graduation.

Hey ucbpeng, congratulations on your admission! I would consider USC seriously but only if I get a fellowship that at least matches the one I got offered from UCSD. I have little ntention to leave SoCal too, but I don't really want to go into a lot of debt. Did USC offer you a scholarship?

With applications up, MBA program more competitive

The program’s acceptance rate has dropped from 36 percent in 2006 to 23 percent this year.

You should try to post on the SC thread. I'm assuming you're talking about USC Marshall?

Had my interview today. It seems I am destined to always interview with admissions regardless of what the invite email says - at UCLA I was supposed to interview with a student but he didn't show up, now I was told an alumni will interview me, but admissions took care of me again. Not complaining, I actually find it funny. I was very impressed with how nice and organized admissions were. Very friendly and conversational interview, totally enjoyable, and very USC selling. Now, I had almost written this school off, but if they do admit me and give me some $, I may have to start one of those agonizing threads of school X vs Y and where should I go.....Let's see....Oh, and did I mention, my interviewer was hot!!

Grrr... my third waitlist! I will give the admissions a call tomorrow. I was waitlisted without an interview BUT I will happen to be visiting the LA area for work next week, does anyone think it would be ok to request an on-campus interview?

I know that for Haas, if you were WLed w/o interview, then they automatically let you schedule one.

Thanks in advance.

I did end up interviewing last week and got the call on Monday! I'm still waiting for my package so hopefully I can 'steal' a bit from your scholarship ;-)
