Count me in as well for the fall. Right now looking at Kellogg, Haas, Fuqua, and Darden. Hopefully all in R1, but I'd like to visit each before so I'm not sure if my plan is feasible. This forum looks like a fantastic resource - looking forward to being a part of it. Good luck everyone.

Im also in the mix: applying to HBS, Wharton, Chicago. Hope to get them all done for R1 but looking tight at the moment.
Good luck to all.

So wat would be the right approach to visiting schools at this stage of the application?
Like many people have said, schools are in summer right now and so campuses are literally dead. I want to prepare ahead of time and get to know the schools, esp the curriculum and finding the right fit part, before app process eats me up. What would be the right approach now?

Some schools, like Kellogg, have programs that run over the summer so there will be some students there, but as you say it won't nearly be the same experience as visiting when the full class is there during the academic year. You should take a look at your target schools' visit schedules, and try to visit as early as possible once school starts again this fall. You can start your essays/application before your visit, and then include any new details or specifics you pick up from the visit later. Of course this will make it tight to visit more than a 1-2 schools before the R1 deadlines.

Greetings all,
Put my name up on the Big Board! I've been preppin ever since I left undergrad to go to a top-tier b-school. While I've enjoyed reading lots of posts detailing the journeys of others on this forum, I figured its time to join in and contribute.
I don't do the crazy, humorous pics or the smilies, but I've got lots of honest feedback and genuine support...

I will also be applying for Fall 2010 and I'm planning on taking a trip to the East Coast at some point. I've found this forum incredibly helpful so far and I look forward to lots of great discussions with fellow applicants.

I'm in for 2010 as well. Most likely applying to Tuck, Darden, Johnson, Stern and Columbia.

Sorry to hear that Sleepy. May I ask why? You don't have to answer if it's personal.
