I think the reason for visiting in the summer is probably because you will be super busy come fall, plus you will want things that you can add to your essays. If you could visit places now, that's probably ideal. I'm applying in the fall too

I wrote that too quickly. Ideally you'd do this during the spring (not summer), as in now. Problem is that some schools have already finished classes and others are soon to be done. If you're considering visiting before the fall, I'd get on that right away. Visiting classes and talking to students were valuable experiences, and yes, you won't be able to do that during the summer. If you do this during the fall, as I did, you'll have to schedule visits ASAP after classes start to have enough time to visit before submitting your apps. That's a bit tough if you don't live near the schools; for me, it meant taking off a lot of time from work. My schedule became so crunched that in some cases I visited just a few days before apps were due. In hindsight, I wish I had visited much earlier.

I have already visited Columbia 2 times. One through their host program and sitting in on classes. Can't tell you how nice it was to just be in that environment again. Very nostalgic : ). I'm also plannning on attending an information session on May 14th.

Toss my name in the hat for class of 2012. I am currently studying for the GMAT - looking to apply to three schools in Round 1 this Fall, two or three in Round 2.
These boards have been great - especially for those of us in non-MBA intensive industries. Keep up the great work, Mods!

Mee too for fall 2010.
Guys, Anyone visited or planning to visit IESE/ESADE? I am looking to visit these schools in july-Aug. Is it a good time? Also, is it worth going there right from India?

I'm assuming I'm going to be applying for fall 2010 as well. I'm still on the WL at Georgetown but I'm not going to bank on that.

add my name to the list...
I live in Las Vegas, Nevada, and unfortunately due to location and travel costs I won't be able to visit all the schools I'd like to.
If invited to interview, I will definitely make the effort.
