Kellogg, Booth, and Ross have been the three biggest in terms of students heading there for the past two years. I think there are 14 people in Kellogg's class of 2010 from on here and now around 20. The success at HBS and Stanford was stellar on here this year. Overall I think its a function of growth of the site. Of course threads for schools that have students get a lot more activity since you can get insights from students during the application process. Threads for places like Kellogg and Booth definitely drive more interest than someplace like Sloan where the success rate is much lower and dont have students talking glowingly about the program. I think the first post on threads that show tons of admissions and people attending those schools will be one of the biggest influences. Just compare MIT's and Kellogg/Booth (even HBS)...that will get a lot of people thinking about which schools they really want to dedicate countless hours applying to.
River, I completely agree. I meant my comment in entirely a positive way, sorry if it came across differently. I think you've done an excellent job as a representative for Kellogg, as has Rhyme for Booth, Kryzak for Haas, etc. Having these representatives helps people in their selection process. For example, your answers regarding the size of the Kellogg being a big benefit in looking for a GM position in Energy was very helpful. The fact that there are people on here talking glowingly about the programs makes others gravitate towards them.
