WL: 2.92 UG, 3.23 G, 720 WE at matr. 6 years I applied R1 but asked them to put it off to R2 - they either didn't do it and gave me decision anyway OR they find WL me the "best" approach since WL gets decision on next round.... I guess only time will tell.

Accepted candidates, I have a small doubt...Are we supposed to accept the decision or can wait for the official package to come and then accept the decision (after checking schol. and other things)

Me in WL. I've one thing to mention. Though it might sound good don't loose your heart or something like that but if someone applied UNC, UVA, Ross etc and when you find you are not in UNC , the confidence level be lower for the other schools preparation. You need to re-plan your selection of schools. For me after this I probably not submit my apps in Ross R2

You need to re-plan your selection of schools. For me after this I probably not submit my apps in Ross R2 it is weird thing and definitely a loss in confidence... i didn't receive my interview invite from Georgetown and I had high hopes in getting an invite at least but it is what it is. I did contact the director and she said WL applicants get into same pool as next round folks so there will be no discrimination....which is a good thing i hope... But you should try Ross though. Yes , ideally I should. But I was thinking otherwise after the result. Ross , profile wise or rank wise better than UNC. So WL in UNC logically concludes ding in Ross and I've yet to receive an interview call from Darden , which reinstates the fact. Probably I should think about Simon. And WL means you can't expect to get scholarship that will make life more difficult for an international.

Hey Angel2009.. i came across this article on MBACrystalBall's website.. you might be able to identify with some of the points written there. http://www.mbacrystalball.com/blog/2010 ... -strategy/i wish you all the best but sincerely feel that you should give Ross a try.. you never know !! Its better to have tried and failed than not to have tried at all ( cheesy yes but true!!)

I dont think you should change your mind based on one school's evaluation of your profile though. The article is pretty good but in the end there is only 1 thing you can control -the essays. GMAT retake is a bit late at this point for RD2 especially if you want to prep for it again. Reccomendation letters is more or less out of your hands unless you go the unethical route of feeding "answers" so the only thing left is really the essays imo.
