For students admitted in late March, our deposits were due today, so I imagine there will be lots of waitlist decisions today and they will resolve them as they see what the class looks like with the students who paid and those who did not. FWIW an admitted colleague of mine just called to let them know she is not attending, so there's one more open spot for you waitlisters. Good luck to everyone. Posted from my mobile device

Sigh - Waitlist here as well. I'm not too optimistic - seems like Columbia waitlists almost everyone who interviews and isn't admitted. Between ED and rolling admissions, they should have a pretty good idea of their class by now. At least at other schools, you know there are still some spots for R3 applicants and the R2 waitlist.

Totally agree. I have seen at least 11 waitlists between gmatclub and beatthegmat communities and 0 dings..  Not sure what to think about it...

I didn't hear anything today - waitlist or otherwise - and I interviewed and went complete in mid-March just like most of you who got waitlisted... not sure what to think.

Is the deposit the $1000? I am confused - one 'to do' is 'pay deposit' and one ''to do' is to 'pay second deposit'. Second deposit is supposed to be due June 1st, and is $1000. The other one does not have a deadline, and it does not say how much it is. I've emailed admissions and told them I plan on attending, but I'm a bit confused about how the deposits work out.

The first deposit is $2000 and the due date depends on your date of admission. I was admitted late March and my deposit was due April 30. The date is included in your admit letter. The second deposit is $1000 and is due June 1st. If I were you I'd reach out to admissions and ask them when your first deposit is due. Posted from my mobile device

I just found out I'm on the waitlist, too. I found out yesterday - Interviewed Aprill 11. I hope the best for all of us!
Has anyone heard from admissions about whether you need to send them an update? It seems to me from my waitlist letter that we just wait to hear from CBS (unless we have a significant update).
Also, it doesn't seem that CBS wants us to call their office with questions...?

Hi, I'm a RD applicant currently on the WL post interview. If I reapply early for next year, say by the end of this month, does anyone know if I will be asked to interview again, or will my interview from just a few months ago suffice.

Unfortunately, it is possible that the class maybe close to full capacity at this time. Judging by the members on the Facebook group, there are approximately 450 new students of a class of 500 starting in August 2012. Not to mention that the China does not get access to Facebook - so that is like 30 students more. Possibly very few seats left at this point. But again, I am just speculating based on the Facebook group.
