Quick question about UNC's online application:
Is there any way to edit your resume after it has been uploaded? I haven't submitted the application yet, but want to make one change to the uploaded resume. I only see a button for uploading another document. Wouldn't want to have two different versions uploaded at the same time.
Any clues? Much appreciated.

Usually you can email the admissions office with your new resume and they'll update it in the system for you. Also, this is a good chance to showcase additional improvements in your profile between submission and decision times.

Anyone on here applying to the EMBA program at UNC? I'm applying to the evening EMBA program starting August 2012. I'd be interested in anyone's experiences going through the interview and thoughts on maximizing chances with experience years on the low side.

Hi All - I'm just starting to evaluate UNC as a potential MBA program. I see that any applicant can self-schedule an interview with an admissions rep. The webpage also indicates that "When you are invited to interview, you will also be given the opportunity to select a class visit, lunch with current students and a tour of the business school."
I'm trying to understand how this works. Are the self-scheduled and invitation interviews two different things? If you aren't invited, can you schedule one anyway? It seems like this would be administratively burdensome for the school.

The "Employment History" section says: Please list all previous full-time employment beginning with your most recent position.
I have been with the same company since I started working. So do I need to fill in the details for each role?

Inside UNC Kenan Flagler's Admissions Office - What happens when you click that "submit" button?UNC Kenan-Flagler's Director of MBA Admissions Sherry Wallace - I am someone who strongly believes in demystifying the application process for prospective candidates. There is no advantage in our selection process if applicants feel like they are in the dark. We want you to know how that work is put to use. We even did a video tour of the admissions office on YouTube. Applicants also seem to respect the admissions process more when they know how diverse the admissions committee is. We have representation from administration, finance, consulting, retail and more who are part of the review team. Back to how the application process works. Once applicants submit their applications through our online system, we have a team of people whose job it is to let applicants know what we’ve received and what’s missing. At any point after the evaluation process begins applicants might get an invitation to interview. In general, we have a policy so not everyone is invited to interview. Also, some applicants might get invited very early, while other applicants will get invited very late and some won’t receive an invitation at all. ... read more

You are right in saying about change in the approach from invitation to applicant initiated interviews. This interview with admissions director actually happened in past and describes the general admissions process that UNC KF follows. There have been some changes (such as the one your described) but the application evaluations seem to remain the same.

Compared to last year, almost no/lil activity on this thread? I am assuming all the early action applicants must have taken the I/V.
I just checked my application portal and it doesnt show anything when you click on 'check status'.

i submitted just in time..i wonder why i cant schedule an interview..whenver i look for a phone/webcam slot it says that there are no current slots available..have dropped a mail to the admissions office..hoping for a reply!!

Hi Kenan-Flagler applicants! FYI if you're applying through the Consortium Graduate Study in Management (CGSM), hop over to the Consortium 2012 Forum and Update Your Profile to reflect that you are applying through the Consortium.
It's simple. Just select your school as "Consortium, the", then indicate which specific institution(s) you'll be applying to and the Consortium round you'll be applying in. You can do all of this easily through the handy 'Add to Your Schools' link on the front page of the Consortium 2012 Forum.
We have a special analytics specifically for those candidates applying via Consortium and lots of useful tips for your application and assessment of your candidacy.
