For those who applied to Haas, was anyone worried that the Haas-specific application did not contain their Personal Statement essay? Are they relying on the personal statement essay from the Consortium? How did you tailor your essay to Haas? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Good luck everyone!

I indirectly referenced the "Haas values" - confidence without attitude, question the status quo, think beyond themselves, and students always - in my three essays. Specifically, I talked about questioning the status quo in the "greatest accomplishment" essay; preparation and seeking knowledge in the "greatest failure"; and I used the song essay to talk about being grateful for the opportunities I've been given in life so far, and paying some of those opportunities forward.

I didn't use the phrases outright, but I tried to show those qualities through examples.

Hope that helps!

That's great, I'm definitely going to use some of that for my essay as well. What about your general Consortium personal statement? Did you try to cater that to Haas in terms of their reputation, classes, and study areas?

I thought that they all offered the same amount. What schools have you all heard back from?

I actually decided to not apply Consortium because originally the date was too late and I didn't want to be at a disadvantage... :/ When did they change the Early Action date?

Also, is anyone going to the Tuck Diversity Conference?

I kept it general, since I applied to four different schools through the Consortium. I didn't want to skew it one way or another.

If you're only applying to one school though, I would definitely tailor it to reflect that school's values and opportunities. :)

Got the interview invite for USC yesterday! :-D Anybody else hear back from them? Or UCLA?

I'm just a little worried about making all of these trips - I don't want to trek all the way to California (I'm on the east coast) only to get back and have to schedule another cross-country trip.

I just got an invite for Yale, too!
It only shows up interview slots left for THIS FRIDAY. Man, that is going to be an expensive flight!
