I got that email a month ago. It just means they've verified your file is complete. According to last week's email, they started actually reading apps today. Edit: oops, I see that you noted that email was about your round two application. Not for Super Saturday. Just an email telling me to schedule either on campus or with an alum. I tried to log to see on campus availability, but it just said that nothing was available for the next 2 weeks and to call the office.

Yeah, we're going through finals and winter break, so no one is on campus to interview. I highly recommend super saturday if you can make it here. Fun day with great programs to help you learn Haas culture. If not, on campus interview is good (with a student, maybe me  ), but off-campus is the same.  Good luck and let me know what you choose.

I was looking at Fall 2008 Applicant post. There were 18 R1 FT applicants. This year 21 (assume FT), that's 16.7% increase, statistically the same as the reported 15% R1 increase (according to kryzak). If the trend holds true for everyone, about 50% of the interviewed got admissions (R1). The R2 list is kinda short now, but I would expect 6-7 more names on there after the deadline, but I'm still crossing my finger for less applicants in R2. I'll do another comparison a week after the R2 deadline. Only one got in from R2 last year. I sure hope we do better this year. 103-t48803?sk=t&sd=a&hilit=haas

yes, I was quite surprised only 1 person got in from R2 last year... it was very strange. And none from R3 and R4. definitely hope for a larger contingent this year!

Hi Liubhs02, don't read too much into these numbers. The sample size is not big enough to draw any conclusion. Second round is indeed very competitive, but these numbers may not always be representative. Of the people that I knew personally, three got admitted in the second round, whereas only one had got admitted in the first. I guess I am eligible to answer this one

Yes, the interviewer only has access to your resume. Unless you interview with an adcom, then there's a possibility that the adcom has read your file.

Okay, I'm in for Round 2. I just got the notification that my second recommendation was submitted earlier today, so my application is officially complete!
I want to thank kryzak for this help here and when I came for the campus visit. Sorry about your cheeseburger getting cold. Even if I don't get in, I think the look on your face when I came out with the question in Cantonese was worth the trip.
