llest, R2 decisions will be out 3/18 as listed. Haas has always been able to get almost all of the decisions out while interviewing most people 10 days before the deadline (super saturdays are generally 10 days before R1 and R2 deadlines). Don't worry, unless something extraordinary happens to your file, you should get a decision 3/18.

Good luck!

This is great to know. thanks!

Kryzak-

I heard from a couple other schools that R2/R3 application volumes were down. Any idea if this is true for Haas?
just curious.

thanks

I remember this question was asked in R1 waitlist chat.
Adcom replied that they did hear that some schools have reported low R2 volumes but that wasn't the case at Haas.
I couldn't find a link to that chat transcript. This is just what i remember from the top of my head of that two week old chat....
Perhaps Kryzak can throw more light on this.

if i recall correctly at SS, they said apps were up for r2, but not nearly as high as folks thought it would be (ie ~20%). they didn't have any solid numbers to report.

Has any R2 applicants gotten an invite yet?

The Haas Admissions Blog (https://theberkeleymba.blogspot.com/) has been taken offline. When it was online, it said that they would start invites at the end of January. I'm hoping the process got delayed rather than no gmatclubbers got invites after 1.5 weeks.

I really hate this waiting game. Every morning I psych myself up for an invitation e-mail, only to be disappointed to find nothing in my inbox :(

Does anyone know what the SS interview for R2 is going to take place?
My comfort in not having received an invite is that no one here has reported an invite yet. And 0/12 R2 gmatclubber for invite is highly unlikely.

I may be jumping the gun a bit, but I'm bored. I looked through all the threads (even the 2008 one), but couldn't find any interview experiences. Would any interviewed candidate like to share his/her interview experiences, questions, etc.? Your information would be much appreciated via Kudos.

kryzak, I think what happened with Haas is that, they admitted 250 students in R1 and all of them decided to matriculate

haha, well, that would be a record (100% yield) and a big problem for R2-4 people. :P

For those of you still waiting for invites--don't give up hope! I didn't get my R1 invite until 2.5 weeks before the deadline, so hold tight . . . my guess is we'll see a flurry next week!

If last year's trend holds, all the R2 interview invites should have went out around this Thursday(yesterday)/Friday(today).

https://the-b.org/~kenny/haas/

This year in R1, caligl (accepted) got her invite 1 week before SS. SS for R2 is on March 7. I think we still have hope. I really REALLY doubt that every R2 gmatclubbers would get denied of an interview.

I think what more likely happened is that given the volume increase and the small admissions office, Haas is a bit behind on the reviewing the R2 applicants. From what I hear, Haas review over the application more closely before the interview than most school, that's why the admit date is so close to the SS interview.

So don't give up man. I know this wait sucks, but good luck to everyone.

Yes, those in California seemed to be getting invites one week before the SS event; I seem to remember that when I made that timeline there. I imagine now they're just behind on reviewing applications. After all, it is just one year's worth of "trends" we're looking at.

Applications are also up this year and I don't think they increased the size of the admissions staff, so getting through all those extra apps is likely taking extra time. Don't give up!
