Just submitted... Hour to spare.
Honestly, I feel like I just wrote 14 essays. So. Many. Forms.
Bet they give me a full ride when they see that my mother is retired....
Anyway, congrats to all.

Whew! Just submitted. In for Rd 1.
One concern though. I reviewed the essays in their format and all my spacing and return lines turned out fine. I did my employer responsibilities last and didn't go to the review page since I expected the format would turn out fine like my essays. For some reason all my return lines were taken out for my employer responsibilities though so its all jumbled together....

Only school submitted R1. Anyone know anything about the on-campus interview day? I'm looking forward to seeing the campus (if I get an invite...).

Anyone have any idea when Berkeley sends interview requests? I read on an admissions chat session transcript that invites can be as early as 4 weeks after application and can be as late as 2 days before decision date. So... anywhere from Nov. 20 - Jan. 25.

Generally invites start going out around Thanksgiving and can go up to 2 days before the event. I think the on campus interview date is almost always 10 days before the round decision date (for R1 and R2 only). Good luck all! P.S. Unhedged, wanna update the stats sheet and I'll post it for you on the front page? Thanks!

Hi All,
1st Year Haas MBA here. After hearing kryzak mention GMAT Club during an Admissions Volunteer Info Session today, I figured I'd check out the old board. I was a frequent visitor of the forum this time last year, though mainly as a lurker. As someone from the East Coast, who couldn’t just visit campus on a whim, I found it to be an excellent source of information on Haas. With that, I’ll share some thoughts on my first few months here:
- The small class size makes for a tight-knit culture - The weather’s awesome - My classmates have a wide-variety of professional interests. People here are truly passionate about technology, media, entrepreneurship and socially responsible endeavors. Plus, a fair share are pursuing careers in healthcare, consulting and finance - Everyone’s heavily involved in clubs and other extra-curricular activities, as evidenced by the sea of ’volunteer’ shirts at the >play conference last week - People in Berkeley are really friendly. They won’t run you over with their cars, unlike in NYC. - The location is great. San Fran is only a BART ride away and you can always find a group going into the city during the week. If that’s not for you, there’s always the option of hanging out in Berkeley or doing something outdoorsy-hiking, camping, fishing, skiing, golfing, etc. - Another thing about location is the access to guest speakers. I’m taking a class called ‘Life as an Entrepreneur’ and sat in on a presentation by the creator of Guitar Hero. He gave out free games!
Yep, there’s a lot of good stuff going on at Haas…

Good stuff hmmnyc! I'm glad my little spiel yesterday got you back to GMATClub. Everything he said is true, except for the weather (70 degrees is a little chilly in October ), hahaha.

Yep, there’s a lot of good stuff going on at Haas… Thanks for your insight! I'm living in Asia and its quite tough for me to visit Haas in a short notice... Read from Haas website that Haas considers visiting the campus and participating in a class a +++ point... So its quite comforting to see someone getting an admit w/o the campus visit... Anyways I will apply for R2 and hope for the best!

Current student here. Sitting at my computer, working on my application to become a Haas Student Ambassador. Thought I'd visit the board for some inspiration for my essay. Glad to field questions while I reflect.

Hello everyone,
I had been wait listed last year and interviewed last March. I've submitted my application for R1, but would there be a possibility that I'd be accepted without an interview? Since it's been only 6months since my last interview, I would think the school would be able to utilize the evaluation from then.
Thoughts anyone?

Thoughts anyone? I believe that it's rare for applicants to be accepted without interviews. kryzak can probably confirm. In my opinion, another interview invite would be a sign of renewed interest in your application. Interviewing again would be a great opportunity to discuss how you've improved your application since last year. Good luck.

Thoughts anyone? I believe that you may still have to do an interview again. I would check with the admissions office to be sure. hmmnyc is right in that another interview will allow you to update the admissions committee, in person through the interviewer, with changes since the last interview.
