I just received the call. Not admitted to regular term but invited to join for the J-term. Quite unexpected!!!
I will take the weekend to thinkg about this.
Any suggestions/ideas?
Thanks!
I am in the same exact boat as you! I applied ED regular and got invited to do J-Term instead. They said that I could either accept the J-Term invite or I could deny it and then my application would be re-evaluated by the admissions council for regular term (in which I was not guaranteed a spot).
My background is 4 years in investment management and I am staying in the same industry afterwards.
Application submitted 9/1
Invited to interview 9/15
Interview 9/19
Feedback for interview submitted 9/19 late in the day
Acceptance for J-Term 9/25
I am leaning towards doing the J-Term because it makes sense for me and I never even considered it beforehand until now. My hesitation was that the J-Term does not have the internship which can feed into a full-time job. However, after speaking with a current J-Term student, he reassured me there are lots of opportunities to recruit and that the internship is sometimes more geared for career-changers, and not all students doing internships get job offers anyways.
Are you also leaning towards doing the J-Term too? I have the weekend to decide as well! And here I thought I was the only one going through this!
