Is there any benefit to submitting this early besides the personal benefit to get to put this away?
I definitely don't want to be the first one in line. Then they'll have all this time to scrutinize your application.

I think that's over-thinking. I prefer to get it out of the way and work on my Stern app. Cornell is very yield conscious and being first to submit will prob be a good thing.

I'll wait til R2. Haven't got the desired GMAT score (gonna retake in 2-3 weeks). Oh man I start to feel a mess of everything needs to be done before Nov...
Apart from Cornell I am thinking about NYU (MSc. RE) and Brandeis as a backup. Any comment?

Ya, next week is going to be bit hectic, so in the course of things I might forget to even submit the application and my home internet connection is down at the moment so didnt want to push my luck any more.
The whole cornell application, especially the 2 mangy looking 400 word essays really scare me. What idea will they get of an applicant from those 2 essays... thats my main cause of concern.

..... because Cornell only requires those 2 wimpy essays, it's more important to get these absolutely fantastico.

Congrats Avi! 2 submitted so far eh? I hope to submit Stanford/UCLA the week of 10/15, probably on 10/19 or 10/20. Then pull out Haas and work the heck out of that for a week or two and submit beginning of November. Let's hope my plan holds!

all the schools im applying to specify a time as well as the date. like wharton is 5pm est on oct 11.
