Thank you for using the timer!
We noticed you are actually not timing your practice. Click the START button first next time you use the timer.
There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
It's risky to go with 450 words because after reading 25 straight 400 word essays, the adcomm will spot a 450 word essay easily. Now 1100 words in a 1000 word essay would be a little bit more difficult to spot.
What I have heard from my cousin in Wharton is that - It is okie to overshoot the limit in one of the essays by 100-200 words (on the base of 1000 words) but make sure you do so in only 1 not all. All others should be under the limit.
prasad, you are off by just one point, and I am sure your other scores and activities (Including interview) will clarify to the adcom about your communication skills. So I agree with you that you should not use the valuable optional essay space for this.
submitted this afternoon.
all hell broke loose at the last hour. My hard disk crashed. I had everything entered/backed up, but still ..
Couldn't upload my transcript on the website for some reason, had to email them.
Reco. was submitted in the last hour as well. ...huff.
Had not idea a week from now I'll drag this app. like this. bad, bad...bad....
Does everything on the application checklist have to be "complete" for the application to be considered for the first round?
Currently, I have recommendations as not received and test scores as unverified. But I over night-ed the reco's and they were signed for day before the deadline and I purchased an additional test report back in September.
