Does anyone know if the Park Fellowship essay must be submitted by Jan 9th? If that is the case, than does someone applying in R3 need to submit the app early so that they can get the essay topic?

just talked to adcom about why my R2 app is not yet under review. They said R2 apps are up by 61% :shock:

I guess cornell is going to be extremely tough this year, probably acceptance rate same as the level of a top 10 school.

Hi, I'm hoping to submit my R3 app tomorrow so I can use anyone's help..

I mailed one of my two recommendations and it has been received by the admission office (according to USPS tracking). But the online system still shows I'm missing one recommendation, and the website is not adding valuable information on what to do if mailing recommendations. In fact, the information it gives is ambiguous at best.

Has anyone post-mailed a recommendation and can advise me on how to proceed with submitting the app?

Unless things changed from last year, you just submit your application by the normal due date and click the "count me in for Park" box. They'll send you the Park essay topic and let you know what the deadline is.

I still have the same problem for R2. Just leave it. They said they don't ahve time to collect all the paperwork and update the online systems yet. Mine R2 app hasn't been updated for almost 2 months, reco still says not received (altho i sent it via express mail and tracking number says they received it long ago)

If you are R3 you have a long way to wait.

oh man.. but were you able to submit the application despite the system says recommendations aren't complete?

I submitted my application yesterday and in about 12 hours I received the email for Park fellowship essay. Surprisingly quick turnaround. The deadline for essay submission is 10 days.

Submitted my cornell application without intending to. I wanted to pay the application fee and then continue checking my application. Unfortunately in Cornell the act of payment includes submission unlike other applications. Anyways nothing can be done about it now. Luckily I had checked my application a couple of times yesterday. So hopefully i have not messed up big time anywhere.
