So my fellow waitlisters...

Everyone taking the wait and see strategy or is anyone doing anything like retaking the gmat?

Does Darden give a feedback to those who are on waitlist, or as in Stern's case, one is supposed to re-review one's application and come up with improvements ?

Does anyone have a suggestion on a hotel to stay at when I go down to Charlottesville for my interview? I looked over the list of recommended places, but I didn't know if anyone had good and/or bad experiences at any of the local hotels. I will have a rental car, so location isn't a huge deal. Thanks!

i believe the hotel on-site is pretty decent.

I should be there on the 17th and my interview is on the 18th if any other gmat clubbers are going to be down there and want to meet for a beer..

Darden's waitlist policy is detailed here:

http://forms.darden.virginia.edu/admiss ... istFAQ.htm

It basically seems like they want people to only send them info if there has been a major change in their life (promotion, award, new GMAT score, etc). I sent them a "letter of interest" but beyond that I think I'm going to take a hands off approach.

We discussed that a few days back in this thread:

103-t75302

and it seemed like the best course of action.

Just hoping that nothing major comes up @ work during the last week of Feb.. :?

Have you booked your slot already? How much trouble is it if you book a slot and want to change it later?

Do international candidates get evaluated at a different time?
I'm getting nervous as well, Feb 16 is coming up soon. If int'l gets evaluated last, it would calm my worries a bit.

I'd assume that the evaluation is random. My app went "pending review" about a week or 10 days ago and I'm sure a lot of invites would come out this week. I think about 75% of the GClubbers that applied got an interview call in R1. R2 should be no different.

Why don't you PM some International who got an R1 admit?
Or even better, Pelihu the Guru! :)

PS: Sara Neher in her most recent blog post said that Darden was going to offer loans to Internationals. She even said that they were going to offer more scholarships than usual. So, I would definitely say that Darden is committed to having International students at this point.
