1st of all, congratumalations on the invite. the wait must be horrible, especially since the interview period as started on 2/16. I'm sure the Alumni interview is going to be same as the regular interviews. I did a phone interview, and they asked me the same questions.

That's 1 more for the R2, we surpassed R1's interview invite percentage. Let's hope that we surpass the admit percentage as well.

I had my interview at Darden yesterday. I had a very similar experience to what was previously described. Just a few quick notes:

- I was one of about 20-30 prospectives interviewing yesterday. I could sort of tell the people who seemed to fit in with the Darden culture and those who didn't. Darden is a social place, where communication and interaction is key. It's not a place where you can hide out, stick your nose in a book, and show up for the tests. Class participation counts for about 40% of most grades and you can tell that most people actually enjoy the conversation that the case method creates.

- My interview was very relaxed and open-ended, as mentioned by others. Due to the nature of the interview, I had to make sure to disicpline myself, so that I hit on all key points and didn't ramble on forever. My interview lasted about 50 minutes; I spoke for about 30 and left about 20 minutes to ask questions. My interviewer (a second year student) had only one follow-up question to clarify a point I made earlier.

- My class visit was good. The 1st year student who escorted me to the class graduated from my undergraduate alma mater. I thought that was a nice touch. If you're planning a class visit, be prepared with an embarassing story. I was forewarned, which helped when I was "cold-called."

- I attended a lunch with faculty members. I thought this was nice too. It shows the involvement of the faculty with the student body and allowed for an additional perspective I haven't really received at other schools.

- The Grounds, as they're referred to, are really nice. I haven't been down to UVA for 10 years, and it's just as nice as I remember.

- Grabbed a few drinks with a 1st year student (friend of a friend) on Sunday night. Nothing beats cheap drinks! Beers were $2-$4 each. Amazing.

- Getting to Charlottesville wasn't bad. The Charlottesville airport is a cab ride away. I actually flew into Richmond, rented a car, and drove down. It took about 70 minutes, not bad.

I think that's about it. Overall, I was very impressed with the entire day and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some good news next month!

have any of you checked your app status after completing your interview? Mine seems to have reverted to pending committee decision with no indication that I interviewed.

FYI: There's an Accepted.com chat today with Sara Neher, Darden Director of Admissions, at 1pm ET.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to access it from work. If anyone attends, can you post highlights? Thanks.

Does anyone have any idea when R1 waitlist gets notified from Darden and the method (phone or email). The office told me R1 gets reviewed again before the R2 notification date.

I have officially decided to take Darden out of the running. I hope Leverandon or one of the other WL'd folks will take me spot. All the best to those still waiting for decisions. I REALLY love Darden and a part of me is sad that I won't be a part of their great program.

Does anyone have any idea when round 3 interview invites begin? How long after submission deadline did the invites for rounds 1 and 2 go out?
