Actually Aau, even better right now, I'm in Hawaii on my honeymoon! About to leave to go snorkeling, so I'll make this quick.

I'm another WL.

Congrats to all who got in! Now choose Kellogg & Michigan! Kidding...off to the ocean!

If I don't respond to a PM that is not one of the previously mentioned trash can destined messages, please don't take it personally I get so many messages I have a hard to responding to most. The more interesting, compelling, or humorous you message the more likely I am to respond.

Well congrats on sorta getting in...

I think there is going to be a large spike in excitement towards Kellogg as people get dinged or WL by HBS and Stanford. One guy on the facebook group joined right after getting dinged by HBS.

Did Kellogg require you to finish that course? They seem to not be as focused on quant as a lot of the other top schools, which I like since I am not really planning on finance and more the management side of things.

I mentioned the calculus class in my interview, but its not a requirement per my acceptance letter. I figure, I'm a pretty smart person and I'll be able to figure out whatever smidgen of calculus if sprinkled into the bschool curriculum. If I have problems, I'm sure there will be at least one quant-strong person on my learning team. They can lean on me for all marketing stuff. Nice and collaborative :-D

In the past <50% of accepted Duke applicants actually matriculated. Does anyone suppose that percentage will be higher this year because of the increased competition?

I was hoping the suspense would end today, but alas no resolution.

From the people I have spoken with, Duke is their #2 (all money being equal of course) so if you show that you are still very interested on the waitlist then you will probably have a great shot. I would assume that most students who applied to a lot of R1 schools will end up enrolling where they get accepted.

How many days does Duke take to let applicants know whether their file is complete etc..
Submitted my application on 1/3 but still havent heard a word on status of application..
may be the R1s can throw some light on this?
Thanks

It takes a while although I don't remember how long. If you go backwards into this thread, I'm sure you can figure it out.

Hey, R2-ers. Post when you're coming into town for interviews. I do a lot with the campus visit program: check ins, class visits, and some lounge hosting.

Chances are good you'll see me. It's up to you whether you out yourself as a gmat-clubber.

no, i believe the package was sent out the same day we found out about our decisions. The letter in the package was identical to that found on-line. It stated that the recepients of the merit award will be notified in a week.

Just got a call from a Duke 2Y welcoming me (I think this is always a nice touch).

Blue Devil Weekend is March 28-31. She also said the admit pkg was coming in 2-3 weeks...so either there are two separate packages or she was mistaken.

Just checked the mail and haven't gotten my packet yet. Anything in it besides the letter, nervous?
