OK all those who attended the BDW...

Was there some talk official/unofficial about the recent drop in the rankings? Specially regarding the surprising placement statistic on those rankings...

Any other information worth sharing ??

I had a great time meeting everyone at BDW. I will be posting pictures from the apartment tour. However, my feeling was that they showed us very expensive apartments. I liked them, but a little outside of what I would like to pay for a place I will rarely see.

I agree that if you want luxury you pay less for it in Durham. I have lived in very very expensive cities over the years so my initial reaction is the same. However, the local market is much much cheaper than these places would lead you to believe. Take a look at Pinnacle Ridge, Belmont, Springfield.

That being said, The lofts and Station 9 are pretty good. I agree about the roomate, but I will be getting married in the summer and am unsure that having a roomate would be a good thing. Although if I found the right person I would consider it.

Thought some of you might like to see this. Gavan Fitzsimmons is one of the most popular core professors - some of you might have attended his class if you came in November or December. Dan Ariely is a recent addition, and his class - Behavioral Economics - is one that people talk about at company dinners and parties...and a whole bunch more:

Did you spot a famous face on campus? Yes, it’s true. Alan Alda was at Fuqua in March to film interviews and experiments with Professor Tanya Chartrand. Chartrand’s work will be included in a new documentary series, “The Human Spark,” scheduled to air on PBS in 2009.

Fuqua ranked # 3 in a survey by the University of Texas at Dallas School of Management of research productivity – up several places from last year – in both the North America and worldwide listings.
