Dear All,

I was admitted but i have the following problem:

'In reviewing your application, the admissions committee noted that you have not fulfilled our calculus requirement. You must complete a calculus course at any accredited college or university with a grade equivalent to a “C” or better and submit the official transcript to The Office of Admissions by July 15, 2010.'

I live in north Africa...How can I fulfill the calculus requirement??

what is the definition of calculus requirement??

Thanks

Maybe there's something you can take online? I'd call/email the admissions office, and they'll probably work with you.

Waitlisted as well.

I had my best interview there. Super weak.

Waitlisted ---- was definitely expecting a ding, mainly because I did not even receive an interview invite.

Ding for me too. Really disappointed. I understand I'm not on the waitlist, but do you know of people who have submitted updates etc. to adcoms and been successful? I mean if they told me I needed a 740 GMAT to have another chance I'd start hitting the books now.

Though I'm still waiting on a few other schools, Duke is by far my top choice. It just pains me one so-so interview can completely doom your chances at a school.

Dinged w/ interview invite. Pretty surprised, I felt confident after going to Durham. Oh well.

This is my first waitlist. I've already devoured all of the old sticky topics regarding waitlists here at GMAT Club and I gather that an additional reco, an additional essay expressing my desire to attend Duke and retaking the GMAT are all common avenues for waitlisted applicants to take.

My GMAT is just over 700...not amazing but not bad. Would there be any value in retaking to raise this closer to 750? My instincts say no, but then again I haven't gotten an acceptance anywhere.

I don't know any Fuqua alumni or students. I was thinking of asking the mother of a kid that I coached to right another reco as a kind of character reference.

I think I will write the quasi essay in the next week or two. Does anyone have experience with this at Duke or any other school?

Feedback much appreciated.

I got waitlisted, and I'm way more heartbroken than I thought I'd be. I applied as sort of an afterthought, but Duke somehow climbed to the top of my list between January and today. I guess I still have a chance.

Congratulations billyjeans.

By far the 2nd most anticipated news that I wanted to hear. The most anticipated news would have been the one where you would get into Ross. Did you hear from Ross yet?

billyjeans - yay!! Maybe we can be study partners. You will have to write a post on how to write a fantasmic letter to get off the wait list.

Congrats to everyone that got in - and have faith for those on the waitlist.

3/26. There is more information in the Duke Admitted thread on the B-school life thread (including a link).
