Will Duke release any decisions for R1 applicants before the official Jan 19th date?

I don't think they will. But we will have to see. They do notification by email right?

Are you talking about the resume? I used my own, it looks very similar in structure and content to the Duke's example. Just not the fonts and stuff.

Hi foqua09
I think you are asking about essays. I used 10 point font and 1.5 line spacing. Anything less that 10 would be too small. And single spaced would be crowded. I suppose you can use double spaced if you want that is if your essays are short. Hope that helps.

They have a sample resume with the application but its set up for a current student (education first). I put my work experiance first. I don't think you should feel the need to tailor yours to the example at all. I think its more meant to let people know they are looking for a resume and not a CV

I would just add that while you should feel free to do whatever you want with your resume, I saw plenty of resumes that were just bad back when I was working for admissions at Fuqua. They were within the length guidelines, but were poorly formatted, poorly worded, and didn't do a good job of presenting the person's skills and experiences.

Was awfully close to submitting today but decided my essays weren't ready (the anticipated Wharton ding might have had something to do with it). One of my recommenders submitted and I feel bad about that but want to get these essays right.

So, on that note, in for R2.

I submitted earlier today and I'm in for R1. Holding my breath for Jan 19th. I'm going to be blue by then.
