I was really impressed with the level of student involvement at the visit day. They really went out of their way to engage with the prospectives and they were a lot of fun to hang out with. And I'm not just saying that because I know they troll this forum

Hi asimov, I visited Fuqua last dec and attended a class and took a tour. Applying in EA. Scheduled an interview two weeks from now. Any suggestions for interview preparations? Thanks. asimov wrote: LionsSBC12 wrote: Anyone planning to visit this Friday? I will be visiting. Not interviewing, though. Hi LionsSBC12, if you are visiting, you should contact the General Management Club at Fuqua. Saw that on your profile interest. They are pretty cool people, I bet they would be happy to chat with you at Fuqua Friday. http://fuqua.campusgroups.com/gmc/home/

The interview/visit page is open on the Fuqua website. I just set up my interview and class visit for the end of september. It was very laid back and coversational. It felt more like a conversation (although I did most of the talking) than an interview. There were no really crazy questions, mainly Tell me about yourself, Why MBA? Why Fuqua? Why now? Mine lasted about 50 min, with about 10 min at the end for me to ask questions. My interviewer was very informative and answered all my questions fully.

Fee waiver? I'll take one of those... Would be nice to get the entire thing waived instead of $100 to put towards visit/interview in 2 weeks. Posted from my mobile device

I have question about GMAT score reporting. I took the GMAT twice. I reported my second GMAT score (which is lower than the first one) to Duke during my second GMAT exam. Do I need to send my first score to Duke ? My reasoning is--they should have my first score as well, as it should have been reported along with second score.

I haven't applied to any schools yet so I can't be certain, but I was under the impression that you can (and probably should) report your highest score, as it is the one most schools consider.

I am pretty sure the score report you send has all scores that are not yet expired on it. I might be mistaken, but you might want to confirm with the GMAT or Duke and see what they have.

For those who are interested in leadership rotational program. GE recently published an article written by a Duke SY MBA student on its ECLP blog. The article perfectly demonstrates the level of visibility from companies that you can get here at Fuqua: http://eclpblog.com/blog/2011/9/29/duke ... he-fe.htmlThe student had a roundtable with GE's CMO.

Yes I believe it does too, but who knows, what if they don't look at the official score until they want to confirm it after accepting a candidate? They may just go off of what someone puts in their application as they make their decisions. This is just hypothetical, I have no idea how they do it, but I wouldn't want to risk it.

Thanks. 1. Walk us through your resume? 2. Why do you want to go to Business School now? Why Duke? 3. How would you describe your job to a 10-year old? 4. Give me three adjectives your friends would use to describe you? 5. What extra-curricular activities do you plan to participate in at Duke Fuqua? 6. Tell us a recent news headline that has impacted you personally or professionally. 7. Discuss one of your major accomplishments in life. 8. What do you think are the attributes of a good leader? 9. List some of your weaknesses? Tell me about a time when you failed at something. 10. If you were working for a FMCG company and have to launch a spaghetti product in France wh o are the 4 people you would include in your team and what are the skills you would be looking for and why? 11. Are there any questions you would like to ask the adcom?
