For recommendation letters, Is recommender required filled online form or paper based form? Also for each questions in form space is limited. How you guys are approaching this.

All recommendations for any of the schools at least in the top 20 are online. Some schools have open ended questions that are more letter in style and some are short answers to specific questions. I would not worry about the space limit as your recommender should have plenty of space to fill everything out.
One piece of advice I got last year that might be helpful is initially list yourself as a recommender. See what is being asked and then provide key points to the recommender for each set of questions. This way what they talk about will coincide with your story.

I think that makes sense.. its important that you have a word with your recommender on the things you'd want to be highlighted on your recos.. for that purpose, you should put yourself in the shoes of your recommender.

That's pretty good considering, all the other schools in the top 10 application volume list are in major cities. Probably the reason for Tuck's low application volume.

Is it a good idea to go for an open interview? Or should i just wait for the interview by invitation? I am worried that if I mess up the interview (considering it would be my first), it will ruin my chances.

I have heard that its best to go for the open interview. It lets you see the campus, visit a class, and understand what life would be like at Duke.
I understand the worry about messing up the interview, I would say find ways to practice with those you know. See if you can get a friend (Ideally someone who interviews either for work or something) and have them do a mock interview with you. It should help with the nerves.

hey guys - I have a 650 GMAT score.. do I have a chance at Duke?
Hey jsundare - You might want to post other stats. The GMAT itself does not eliminate your chances, but without a bit more knowledge about your profile you will not get any useful feedback

Anyone have any thoughts? Thank you!
These were the stats for the class of 2012, directly from Fuqua's webpage:
dmissions Profile - Class of 2012
Class Size 440
Average age at entry 29
Entering with work experience 99.3%
Average years of work experience 5.3
80% Range of GMAT score 640 - 750
80% Range of undergraduate GPA 2.9 - 3.8
Now, what I remember from our class of 2013 orientation, those numbers were essentially unchanged. So bottom line, GMAT is low, WE is low, GPA sounds good. All that said, you have every chance in the world to be admitted to Fuqua. As most everyone will preach...write stellar essays...

Thanks for the response ThomasD. Would you recommend that I take the GMAT again? Its a bit of a trade-off between taking the GMAT again and submitting a thoughtful application package by EA or R1 for Duke and other schools I'm looking at (Darden, McDonough)..

In short, if you think you can get a 50 point increase then I would 'consider it', if you think that is unrealistic given that you are targeting EA or R1, I wouldn't waste another second on the GMAT.

Hi ThomasD,
Could you please enlighten us a bit on the opportunities related to Consulting in Duke B-School ?
Regards, Subhash
A bit too early to tell for me - only had a handful of classes so far. Just a couple of tidbits I remember off-hand: Deloitte was the number 1 recruiter here last year. Deloitte also put on a 2-day early connections consulting workshop in Durham before school started. It was a combination of a series of lectures, hands on exercises and some networking, in essence similar to the summit described here: http://careers.deloitte.com/united-stat ... ntID=16293
Like I said other than that, too early to tell for me. Check out the latest employment report though
