Thanks! It depends on the school. I believe that many of the schools count the consortium interview as their own; however, there are some schools that require their own interview in addition to the consortium's. I'm a R2 applicant as well.

You may not get in, but at least you made contact.
This is probably true. I am just kind of lost I guess. I am coming from an academic research background in healthcare and I do not feel like I am communicating my accomplishments well enough. My GPA is underwhelming as well. I do have good work experience for my field and possible a publication if a journal accepts the article. I feel like my leadership is okay. I think I just really need some good coaching through this process to help me figure out the best way to maximize my background.

no, certain schools still want an individual interview. i know stern does and i believe ross does too.

Hi,
I called the Consortium a while back and they told me that the schools recieve ALL of the essays (1,2,3 and supplemental). I agree it would be difficult for them to make an admissions decision without 1,2&3.
Hope this helps.

that's good to know. they should clarify that in the application instructions section, the way it reads, it makes it seem like the schools will not get the other essays.

re: the interview, i agree that it is school specific, and even case by case. i called SOM a few weeks ago thinking i needed to schedule an additional interview with them (i had already completed my "general" consortium interview). i was told that if they felt another interview was necessary, they would contact me. otherwise, the one interview would be fine.

So i guess i'll kick off the POST submission talk:
Does anyone know when additional interview requests come out? Results? Any other significant dates?

Submitted as well!!!
My Consortium interview didn't go very well as my interviewer was painfully awkward. Hopefully this doesn't effect my application too much.

From what I recall at the Stern Info Session, they only offer On-Campus Interviews. Can anyone confirm that?

yes, stern only does on-campus interviews, but most consortium applicants who interview with them end up being interviewed on their diversity day - sort of like their big women's interview day - which falls on a saturday if you're in a bind with your PTO like me

Gotcha. Thank you!
That sounds like a great day.
Do you know if they give you some choices about when you interview just in case you can't make it to NYC on a particular day?

i'm sure they do, i couldn't imagine having a mandatory interview process and then only giving people one option to complete it.

I believe the CGSM mandatory interview is to assess your fit with the Consortium. Additional interviews from individual schools do occur.
I applied to 4 schools in the first round. Yale reviews all CGSM applications together (regardless of whether you submit R1 or R2), so I don't expect to hear from them until late January/early Feb.
Good luck to Round 2 applicants!
