Anyone received a fellowship's $$from Tepper? No.

I actually emailed their Consortium rep who I got to know through their diversity weekends (and a few calls). Apparently Tepper refuses to say anything about the fellowship and wants you to wait on the consortium.

I love the school, but honestly this is real annoying. First, they are the last school to release decisions. While the video was cute, they were also the only school not to actual do calls (out of the consort ones I got admitted to). And, all the other schools told you themselves about your fellowship and membership. Since they have such a small class, I don't think it's asking too much.

Thanks for the info.

Have you ever heard of anyone that was able to negotiate a scholorship without leveraging an offer at another school? I am asking becuase I only applied to Stern through the CGSM.

Thanks.

I only know a few people personally who have done the negotiating and they had competing offers. At minimum though, I think you need to have come type of case. Some reason why you deserve the money. Hell, even just a regular admit from another school should suffice. If not that ... just ask. Worst you can get is a no.

I have called the admission directly and received the same feedback...I don't understand why they prefer to proceed this way. From what I understood, the decision have been mailed on monday, so let's see what happens! Manager Joined: 21 Jan 2010 Posts: 190 Location: Ohio Schools: Indiana Kelley/Class of 2012/Full tuition$$

For all its worth, a fellow gmatclubber posted that s/he was admitted at Kelley, didn't get the Fellowship but was awarded a full tuition "Dean Scholarship". I dont know if s/he negotiated but I assume that something happened somewhere. I agree with maxtor that it's worth the try...

But I hope I'm wrong! The sooner I receive the letter, the sooner that I can tell work that I'm leaving!

Congratz bro!! niceguy22 wrote: Hi all! I don't think we are going to get fellowship decisions in the mail until Friday. It just doesn't make sense to get fellowship decisions before Friday if some schools still have not given people decisions. It would be odd to get a Fellowship decision for Darden, for example, if they are not going to release decisions until the 19th. Just my 2 cents. niceguy22, your explanation makes perfect sense but per Ronmexico's update, it appears Darden is now sending out decisions. Does that poke holes into your theory and that maybe we'll get our packages sooner? ...that there might be something in the mail for me after work today? _________________ Leadership is not really about telling people what to do — a strategy that doesn't always work. I received my letter from Stern but it made no mention of the consortium. I know a few other people that said the same. Got the Stern admitted phone call a few weeks ago, then received my packet in the mail with the fellowship letter. Figured I'd weigh in since no one else has... You mean the "packet" from the Consortium or your admit packet from Stern. Please respond before retreating to Lurker-ville again

I mean the packet from Stern stating they'd given me the Consortium fellowship. This was followed up by a phone call from admissions with a congrats.

They informed me that the Consortium itself should be reaching out to me directly soon with further info.

Hope this helps. I'm back to Lurkerville...
