The advice that I have to offer is very Tuck specific - please make an effort to interact with us while you are there. We are very happy to talk to you and to discuss whatever is on your mind; it reflects well for you to undertake a through examination of your options. You should know that our alums are very passionate about Tuck, and therefore happy to talk about their time here, and also that we do pay attention to our conversations with you. It is not at all uncommon for an alum to let us know when they have met a really dynamic candidate, and we officers are also keeping track of people who make really great impressions. I mention this in the spirit of admissions guidance; I am not sure that prospects realize just how important it is to capitalize on every opportunity to shine. While you should definitely ask candid questions and learn all that you can - and we do not in any way expect you to attend receptions with prior knowledge about Tuck - we do notice candidates who seem genuine, thoughtful, and interested in engaging with us. These are characteristics that are prevalent in our community, and it helps you to stand out if you can demonstrate them. We really enjoy hosting receptions, and hope that you also find them to be both helpful and pleasant. Finally, it is great to hear from prospects afterward. I welcome follow-up emails and calls, and look forward to seeing many of you here for campus visits.
I'm def applyin EA to Tuck, altho I'm not completely sold on the remote location yet.
Goose, were you able to schedule your interview early because you're a reapp? According to the school's website, interview's for the 2009-2010 admissions cycle can't be scheduled until late August...

Appreciate the link Goose, I've gotta hold off on scheduling the interview so that I can coordinate my visits with the other schools I'm applyin to.
I noticed that the Essay Questions, Confidential Statement of Qualifications Form and Instructions for Applicants PDFs were all updated yesterday for the 2010-2011 academic year. It probs won't be that much longer before the online application becomes available...

To give you guys an idea of what Tuck is all about, I was just talking to a fellow student who had an interest in entrepreneurship. When he came for accepted student weekend last April, the professor he had been in contact with actually put him up his own home for the weekend.

Are you trying to say that you are willing to put a future Tuck applicant/admit at your own place in NH while he/she is visiting?

Actually quite a few people were put up during ASW in off-campus housing. Actually, one girl just left her keys with a neighbor and the prospective student just stayed there by herself.
Another girl stayed in the dorms, but the student she would be staying with was out of town, so she just left the door unlocked.

It's officially on! The Tuck online application appears to be "live", and anyone interested in interacting with a current Tuck student via Tuck Connections can fill out the form (I'm pretty sure this wasn't available previously)...
