Hello, quick question...

I applied for R1 and was wondering; do acceptances for R1 all come in at Dec 18 or is that just the last date? In other words, any chances of getting the acceptance earlier?

Would be curious how it was in the past...

Decisions are made on a rolling basis, meaning yes - you do receive them earlier. Not all decisions are sent out on the same date. They get released in small batches, gradually.

Round 1 Interview Invitations by Bruce Things have been a bit quiet here at SOM recently.  Last week was exam period, so students were hunkered down in exam mode, and this week the second years are on break before the begin of Fall 2 on Monday.  The first years are currently on campus for their Managing Groups & Teams class, though, which means there’s some activity right now — just not as much as normal.  Things will be back in full swing come Monday. That’s not to say there hasn’t been activity here at SOM.  The Admissions Office has been full steam ahead since our first round deadline on October 8.  We’ve been extremely impressed by the quality of the applications — seemingly our best crop yet from initial indications — and are working hard to move forward with the review process as expeditiously as possible.  In fact, we sent out our first batch of interview invitations yesterday.  These invitations are just the first wave that we will send out; I estimate that they constitute somewhere shy of half the invitations we will ultimately send out this round.  So for those applicants who received an invitation yesterday — congratulations!  We look forward to seeing you on campus soon.  For applicants who did not receive an interview invitation yet — don’t fret.  We know waiting can be very difficult, but there are more invitations on the way.  We will continue to send out invitations in the coming weeks as we move through the review process.  So stay tuned and keep an eye out for our email. Hi everyone. I'm applying to Yale Round 1 this year and submitted application one hour before the deadline. Right now, my account shows that they are still waiting for my TOEFL score.

Does it mean that my application package is considered incomplete until they receive the TOEFL score? And they won't start reviewing my package until they receive the official score? Anyone has the same experience?

I have the same question, only in my case, my GRE score has still not arrived.

Yale SOM receives GMAT and TOEFL scores online. Since YSOM online application is on a separate operating system, it takes some time for the admissions office to electronically match your score to your application. It may take a few weeks for your status page to reflect all of the materials that they've received.

Hi! I'm also applying in R1. Does anyone have idea about how much of GRE score will be fine for Yale SOM? Since it's the first year for Yale SOM to accept GRE scores, I have no idea about it. As we know, top b-schools favor GMAT scores above 700. Is there any "bottom line" for GRE?
