Hi All,

I was accepted to Cornell so I recently withdrew my Yale application before receiving a decision. Rather than send an impersonal email, I decided to call the admissions office. The person I spoke to was very kind. She asked why I was withdrawing my app and I told her 2 years vs. 1 year, family situation, etc. We had a really nice conversation. I was very sad to withdraw (not that I would have been accepted anyway). Classy school all the way. To everyone accepted by Yale good luck. The school is outstanding.

did any of the R2 admits receive the enrollment materials in mail?

I actually called the admissions office and asked. enrollment materials were mailed late last week (friday) so we should be receiving over the next couple of days.

Cornell is a great program. There are some really great GMATClub members at Cornell from my application year. Good luck!

After 2 years I'm back on this forum again.
I applied late in R3 (this is one of two schools I applied to, both in R3), got interview invite this past Monday, scheduled for an interview for next week!

nink -do you have any tips for the interview?
I've done a fair share of research on Yale SOM interviews and have talked to/read experiences of other's who have interviewed, but... there is no such thing as over preparing :P
Thanks!

Landed in New Haven a few hours ago - still on Pacific time so not yet sleepy... and getting the pre-interview jitters hah. Its been years since I've been on this side of an interview :)

Anyone have suggestions on things to do or places to see on a Sunday in New Haven/Yale?

Stop by the visitor center and get yourself a map. They run a general campus tour starting at the visitor center at 1:30 which is a nice way to familiarize yourself with the campus if you can. It's geared towards undergrads, but it's neat to see how the Yale residential college system works. Unfortunately, the libraries are closed to the public on Sunday, but you can still have a nice walk around campus. It took me a few trips until I found the skull and bones tomb... If you're short on things to do, you might want to check out the Peabody Museum up past SOM (natural history/dinosaur type stuff), and the two art museums on the opposite end of campus. They should all be open on a Sunday. And good luck with your interview!

Does anyone remember when the Explore Diversity application went live? I know the deadline to submit was October 20, or somewhere around there.

So I have a dilemma. I'm on the waitlist for Yale but I need to know the decision so I can take action on my apartment lease this week. Should I contact the admissions office about needing to know, or will that just make me sound needy? :|

I also heard that the yield is higher this year than last year, so that doesn't bode well for us Waitlisters..

Interviewed in mid April. Have better expectations than at Dartmouth (since I've already heard their class is full) but the adcom pointed out how difficult it was in Rd 3 when I asked on campus.

Waitlisted. Just got the email. I'd assume its pretty rare for Rd 3 canidates to get waitlisted (since its so late in the process) so dont know what to expect from here...

To those who were just admitted off of the waitlist, would you mind sharing your contact history with the Adcom?
