Hi,
I've been following the posts for a while and finally decided to post due to the large number of people that are wondering what's going on with their application decision. I realize that USC is now on a different round of admissions from the one I applied to, but I wanted to share my experience with everyone in hopes that it might alleviate some of the anxiety.
Applied:Nov 16/2010 (R1) Invited to Interview: Dec 1/2010 (notified through email) Interviewed: Dec 15/2010 Accepted: Feb 1/2011 w/o financial aid (notified through email) Acceptance Package Received: 4 Feb 2011
GMAT: 700 (42 Verbal, 42 Quant, 5.5 AWA) Work Experience: 1.5 years project management, 2.5 years in management rotation program in Financial Services GPA: 3.2 Overall, 3.8 Final Year Volunteer Experience: Primarily limited to roles within current employer Background: Male, International (Canada)
About the interview: I interviewed with a member of the admission committee via skype. The interview itself was fairly short at only 30 minutes or so and was very straight forward. It began with me going through my resume and giving a brief overview of the different positions that I've held. The next questions were about my rationale for pursuing an MBA, my reason for wanting to go to USC, and my post graduate plans, both short and long term. No behavioral based questions from what I can recall, which was nice because I'm not a huge fan of them. I asked her a few questions regarding USC as a commuter school and about exchange programs and that was pretty much it. Overall, the interviewer was extremely friendly and easy to interact with.
Hopefully some of you will find this at least a little informative. If there's anything else you'd like to know that I forgot to cover, feel free to ask. Good luck to all of you with your applications.

This is what I got from the school
We apologize for the confusion. All interview invitations are sent via email, so it is not necessary to check the online application until the actual decision is released April 1st. We are continuously reviewing all round 2 applications, so interview invites could be sent at any time. The February 15th deadline served as a guideline for when the majority of invites would be sent by. All final decisions are not made until April 1st for acceptance, waitlist or deny.

also got admitted today. Interviewed on feb 18th, invited feb 7th. So there's still hope if you interviewed early and haven't heard back yet.

I'm most likely headed to Anderson. If you haven't heard back and you're consulting/corp finance background, with 690/awful AWA/Plus EC (non-profit)/5 WE/3.4, there's a spot waiting for you.

Reminder: If you haven't already, please submit all necessary test scores and supplemental materials, and check this screen for any updates/changes to your application status. Once your application is complete, a decision will be rendered according to the decision notification schedule for the program to which you have applied.
I have already interviewed and was never contacted about missing test scores... I had this on my account since the time I applied. Its generic. Don't worry about it. Good luck!

Calling all USC MBA.PM round 3 applicants!! [#permalink]

I applied for R3 of the USC MBA.PM program in mid-March, and I’m hoping for an acceptance even though it’s getting a little late.
Stats: -28 years old -IT background, 6 years experience -640 GMAT (41 quant, 37 verbal) -3.1 GPA from top 50 undergrad.
I spoke with admissions and they said that acceptances wouldn’t be coming until mid-May, at the earliest. Hopefully they still have some spots open.

I am waitlisted for the Full-time program, but have since relocated to the LA area for a job. Where the PM program wasn't an option for me before, now it is... Thinking I might get a last minute app in given there seems to be space available. Thoughts?
This is straight form the USC FAQ page... hope it helps. Can I apply to more than one Marshall MBA program in the same year, or move from one program to another?
USC Marshall offers five MBA programs, and each is entirely separate from the other programs. Applicants can only apply for admission to one program. We do not allow students to move from one program to another at anytime due to the differences in course work and structure of the programs.

I'm in for round 1. This may be a dumb question, but how are we supposed to submit our essays? Do we put them all in one document and uploaded it to the program specific essays section? Or do we upload each essay as an additional document?
