Yah man, even with a Consortium Fellowship we still have to pay the school's deposit by the school's dealine to lock up our seat in the class. They will refund it to us in August once we start. I already paid the first half of mine last Friday and it was painful. "Hello paycheck; good-bye paycheck."[/quote] Hells yeyeah....Wait... So they are getting a no interest loan outta me? We oughta charge them points like bookies.... "if I ain't got my money back by Sept 1, yall owe me 2 months of stipends!" Posted from my mobile device

I'm east coast & ditto deposit will be applied to your bursar bill as a credit - so it eventually will cover a non-tuition related item that the school may bill you for i.e. Books, health insurance, MBA program fee (each school may be diff in what 'tuition' exactly covers) Also it does say the name of the school to which you were accepted & offered cgsm fellowship. I'm curious what happens with all you Park Fellows? Or anyone who goes to cgsm school w/o cgsm money. Posted from my mobile device Posted from my mobile device

I don't think I'll receive a fellowship from Darden, but I am curious to see whether I am admitted. I haven't received any calls and the d-day isn't until Tuesday next week. Can't wait to go home and see my mail

I just opened my letter,..it mentions the school that offers you the fellowship but no indication of the other schools you applied to.
Its a business form letter, along with 2 consent forms for the OP and CGSM membership that u have to mail back by 4/15.
The OP is Fri-Wed?? Jeez,..what will we be doing that will take 5 days? Not complaining, looking forward to it, but thats a chunk of time.

I got the letter, and boy did I need it. It's been a very hard and exhausting work week. Today I noticed that I no longer feel rested after a night's sleep, so I am looking forward to resting over the weekend. Counting down the days til May. Praying for the patience and strength to keep working til then. Doesn't help my motivation that I don't absolutely have to keep working til then, but am only trying to boost the wallet as much as possible. Smh. Getting the letter was a real boost for me. I kept looking at it thinking, "wow, it's real!" I'm SOOOOOOO happy. Even though I'm only a couple hours away from St. Louis, and the letter was post-marked on Monday, I know that the letter wasn't delivered until today (because I've been checking daily). The only Consortium school I applied to was Kelley, so I only had the information about the fellowship requirements and instructions on how to respond to the fellowship offer. Like some of you, I kept thinking that my notification call seemed like a dream. It's good to know that I was not dreaming at that time (because I've been dreaming about it for months!). Happy Thursday! Grateful it's almost Friday, and I won't be working this weekend!

@TheSenator, one has to fill out a scholarship application for Kellogg? I didn't find one at Kellogg's Website. I still haven't received anything physical from Kellogg. Only the wonderful, non-tangible phone call. I'd love to have an acceptance letter in my hand. Has anyone accepted in R2 received a letter? TheSenator wrote: ruthie08 wrote: Yalephd wrote: Tough call for me betwee NYU with CGSM and Kellogg. I'm debating between Tuck with money and Kellogg right now.... The Scholarship app for Kellogg is hard to find so Facebook me if you need me to send you the app.

When you get your log-in info and get to the admit site, you will have a to-do list to go through. You will have to fill out a fasfa form and you will have to fill out a kellogg financial aid form. When you go through the Kellogg financial aid piece, there will be a scholarship form for you to fill out.

It's going to be a tough call. I want to go into consulting post-MBA which Kellogg is great for and I have a sister who lives in Chicago now, my boyfriend prefers Chicago, etc. etc. I'll have to go to DAK and see how I feel about things.

So is the Consortium deposit is due by 4/15? Or are just the agreements due?
Seems odd to have the deposit due before most ASWs, right?

Ok, so I'm working on my resume for OP. GMAT score on the resume? No, right? Anyone? Bueller? I know some industries might like to see it, but it seems out of place, and dare I say tacky to put a line for a test score on... other thoughts?

I know some industries might like to see it, but it seems out of place, and dare I say tacky to put a line for a test score on... other thoughts? i would STRONGLY advise against it. One of my first jobs out of college was recruiting and staffing a great deal of these things. I always hated to see test scores on a resume... in my opinion they indicate too much emphasis on academics and not enough on practical skills. I also didn't want to see GPA unless someone was currently enrolled in a program. just my two cents. Much appreciated. I would love to leave it off, but I don't want to go and find out everyone put it on.

Most schools will probably redo your resumè before OP, at least that's what the KF consortium page indicates. Posted from my mobile device

However, the manual says that the resume must be approved by your member school, and the deadline for the resume is May 18 (see pg. 20). So I'm sure your school will correct anything that doesn't follow their resume format.

question: so, I'm declining my fellowship offer at one school, but am keeping my consortium membership at another member school..... Do I still fill out the front or just fill out the back that I'm declining, but attending a consortium school and put that on the lines they provided? I guess I could call and ask, but assumed someone else on the forum may be in a similar situation and already has the answer
