I just got the call, landed the Consortium Fellowship at Cornell. I'm pretty sure this is the happiest moment of my 26 years in existence. No idea how I’m going to make it through the next 5 hours of work today. I think I’ll go get drunk on my lunch break, yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Interesting, I'm in at Ross!!!! no fellowship but they are giving me roughly 50% of tuition. Minutes later though, Tepper calls and offers me the CGSM fellowship even though they had already offered me a 75% tuition scholarship, I declined them this morning, and I ranked them 5th. However, Fuqua offered a full ride, and I'm still invited to Cornell's second scholarship weekend next month... (I didn't know there was more than one). So 1. I'm a bit confused 2. I feel blessed 3. I am pretty sure I'm sticking with Fuqua 4. Decisions suck, they're not hard, but if you're like me, you don't like disappointing people. So I think I'm a Blue Devil but that removes me from the CGSM network sadly , but I'm definitely happy I got into almost all my schools
Me aside, congrats to all the folks that have received admits and mucho $$$$$. No matter where we go, like my buddy Tolu said, we will definitely change the world. It's been great being on this journey with you all.

We would be remiss on this Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday not to recognize the tremendous sacrifice of Dr. King, our parents, grandparents and others who made 'the dream' possible for young people like ourselves. The Consortium Graduate Study in Management is founded in the ideals of Dr. King and his supporters of the civil rights movement. Today is a day to respect, appreciate and serve the mission of equality and leveling the playing field. Whether that's volunteering at an MLK event, updating your Facebook status or posting a note of appreciation on GMATclub we should all serve in some capacity.
Most, if not all of us will move on to heights that the majority of our brothers and sisters have not even dreamed of. With this opportunity of pursing a Masters in Business Administration comes the welcome burden of making sure we are leveraging our education to elevate the future of those that follow our footsteps -- let us all remember that. On this day, I encourage you to take a step back from your daily grind and reflect for one minute on your past... and dream about your future. We are lucky... without visionaries like Dr. King and Dr. Sterling Schoen (founder of the Consortium) your dream would not be so close to reality.
“We must remember that intelligence is not enough. Intelligence plus character-that is the goal of true education. The complete education gives one not only power of concentration, but worthy objectives upon which to concentrate. ”

Well, I was gonna stay off this forum today. Had just prayed and asked the Lord to please have someone call me and notify me tonight because I just didn't want to endure a weekend of mystery, then I got off work early, and went to bed (with my phone) to take a nap in preparation to work tonight. Was just relaxed enough to fall asleep, and the phone rang....812 area code. This is tricky because I live in this area code and have friends/family in this area code.
It was Jim Holmen from Kelley letting me know that I GOT THE CONSORTIUM FELLOWSHIP!!!! Loving it right about now. Now I'm sitting on 2 full rides. What a wonderful place to be!
