Yay! Got accepted!

I missed the call from the Tuck adcom earlier today since I'm on vacation in India right now, but got a congratulatory email from them soon after.
No mention of a scholarship in the email though. Anyone know if this notification is supposed to be the final word on scholarships?

Really quiet in general on the board. I know there are 5 hours left, but getting discouraged here on the east coast.

Ditto here on the west coast. However, the lack of noise could be because nobody is hearing back.

I don't think it's over! But it is weird, discouraging of the lack of noise. I might go crazy staring at my phone!

That could turn out to be a valuable insight.

Could it be possible that they came into office yesterday/today and decided that they wouldn't make any calls but would simply update our statuses online? Otherwise I find it really hard to explain this silence...

Board is not representative of all applicants and given the small size of acceptances (100?), you'll only get a small sample here.

I believe they admit 150/200 on this round... That would yield 100 students getting into Tuck.

However, they talked about apps being down about 5 percent ths year, so their traditional yield model might have to be adjusted by admitting more people. Guess we all can keep our fingers crossed and see what happens!

During the Tuck chat at BTG a couple of days back, the Tuck representative said all decisions would be released at 5 PM EST. Assuming that to be true in letter and spirit, I am wondering howcome some people got invites, even though the number is less...

Most of the ones I've heard about are either non-US or consortium. There's still a chance of US based applicants I guess. Hope springs eternal.

To YoungSnake: yes, scholarship info comes out same time as the admit. Was told I was in, then about the scholarship. Makes sense to give out both pieces of info at the same time since scholarships influence our decision making process as to which B-school to attend.

To pingpong: I'm in a little town in the SouthEast USA (aka "the South").
