Congrats Raabend. Did you get a phone call today?
I think I was accepted today as well - checked my status online and there was an acceptance letter saying congratulations (under view online decision). No call yet though. Does Emory call everyone?

I'm in at Emory too. I've checked opus and seen online decision letter. There was nothing mentioned about scholarship in that letter, however I later received an e-mail about my acceptance and the scholarship offered. Hi to all fellow emor'ians

Emory applicant here.. Submitted in R2. Have my interview already scheduled.
Visited the school during Super Saturday. Loved it. Since I am from Atlanta, would be an easy transition if I get in. Weather is a big plus. Job opportunities are ample as most of the companies have offices in Atlanta and they hire locally for these offices.

Wow, its great to see so many of you have been admitted already. That's great news for everyone. Also, I love seeing some chatter about our Super Saturday events on here, as I play a pretty big role in putting those together this year. If any of you have any questions about the program, feel free to send me a message and I'll respond as quickly as possible. Also, if any of you are in Atlanta over the break and want to get together for some brunch to chat, I'm down with that too. Best of luck to all of you still waiting. And for those who have gotten in, please keep the last weekend in March open for our Welcome Weekend event, which is a ton of fun, and you'll get to meet a lot of other admitted candidates along with current students.

Just came back from the interview. Overall it went well. Ran for about an hour. Questions were standard though on the tougher side.
A lot of situation based questions: What would you do if...
Those waiting, be patient till Jan. The interviewer told me that any decision will not be released until Jan.

Thanks, it was a lot of fun, and well worth the time. As far as consulting placements, they are just now starting the interview process for internships, so not many there so far. And, I'm not sure of the second year numbers right now. do you know whether the amount of scholarships offered can be negotiated and reconciled after a significantly higher gmat score is obtained by the applicant?

I wouldn't say its expected to try to renegotiate scholarships, especially in this economic time, but with a significantly higher GMAT, I would definitely call and ask. The worst thing that can happen is they say no deal. The best thing, they could significantly increase your scholarship. I say the sooner the better, so act now. oziozzie wrote: emoryhopeful,
