As expected... DING! It pays to cut one's losses quickly. I was devasted when I wasn't invited to interview but I have since moved on and the actual ding was not in the least painful. Congrats to all those accepted and a special hug to all those that were dinged after interviewing.

found myself in probably the most precarious of buckets....W/L w/no int  not really going to do anything to pursue this, i don't think i want HBS that badly.

congrats to the admits, and chin up to the dings - if you got an interview from HBS, you're doing something right in life

If you have decided to pick HBS over Wharton or any other school, please send an e-mail to the schools you are not taking offers from, so they can plan ahead and give the spot to someone who had been waitlisted.

Big congrats to those who got in.

To meridian17, torontogirl, RonMexico, LB20, and Kohlia - I see you guys have also gotten into several other places -many of those with fellowship money. Would you without a doubt choose HBS over them?

I'm fortunate to get into Wharton in R1 with $20,000 fellowship. Already paid my $2,000 deposit so if I choose HBS that would mean giving up $22,000. Just want to hear what you guys would choose if you were me.

For the roll-call: ding without interview. Yesterday was painless for me. I only applied to HBS to feed my ego and say no to it. Guess they said no to me:)

pilot: I'd choose Wharton. Especially with a fellowship. But that's just me. Their programs are totally different, so different that it should be easy to make a decision.

Best to all, lets enjoy the ride!

you should wait and see what type of grant/general scholarship money they give you. even without being alerted of a "fellowship" most people at HBS receive some sort of free money in their aid package

I wish I knew why I got interviewed and then rejected...

-low WE (2 years)?
-bad interview (didn't SEEM bad but I guess I rambled)?
-no GMAT score (I only submitted GRE)?

Those are my best guesses...this sucks...now I have to find a job in this spectacular economy :(

Congratulations to all those who got in!

I just wanted to thank everyone who posted the past few months...you have contributed greatly to my sanity!

I was admitted to HBS in R2. I had just taken the GMAT in December, so this has been quite a ride for me!

Congrats to all R2 admits!

sandy - any insight overall into application numbers? were both r1 and r2 up over last years? was r1 down from last years r1 and r2 up from last years? i just want to know if overall competition if even higher than last year's high, about the same, or less.

I'd give them an email. I was able to login with any issue and start the Kroll process. It's so annoying when you have to fax something though.

I managed to start the process as well. Need to do the faxing...
