99% that it would be mail, unless they fail to deliver it.
I think that everybody is agitated though, I think there is no matter to write about no invitation - but to wait for lucky ones that recieved it and hopefully would let us know about it :)

Was there a commitment to send out all the invites on the same day? Or will it be staggered?

Just got the email!

Dear XXXX,

Warm greetings from Harvard Business School!

After careful consideration of your application materials, we are delighted to inform you that you have been selected for an interview with a member of our MBA Admissions Board. We look forward to the opportunity to get to know you better through our interview process.

We use an online scheduling system to manage our interview process. Since we know that many of our interviewees expect to travel to either our campus in Boston or one of our global hub cities for their interview, we are sending this message in advance so that you are aware of where our Admissions Board members will be traveling and when. We hope this advance notice is helpful to you as you plan for your interview.

We will have interview slots available in the following locations:

Boston (on the HBS campus): Every weekday from November 2-25
Chicago: November 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
London: November 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 11, 13, 24, 25
Los Angeles: October 29 and 30
Menlo Park: November 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20
Mumbai: November 16, 17, 18, 19, 20
New York City: November 12, 13, 14, 15, 16
Paris: November 17 and 18
San Francisco: November 5, 6, 7, 8
Shanghai: November 23, 24, 25, 26, 27

You will receive another email from HBS MBA Admissions at noon on Monday, October 19 with a link to our online scheduling system. You will be able to select a specific interview slot at that time. Please note that all of our interview slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. In the past, our interview slots have filled very quickly, so we encourage you to be prompt in selecting your slot.

Telephone interviews may be offered for some international applicants. These slots will also become available at noon on October 19.

Again, we hope this advance notice is helpful to you. Thank you for your interest in Harvard Business School, and we look forward to meeting you soon.

Sincerely yours,
MBA Admissions

So any thoughts on my previous question -- are all Rd1 invites going to be sent out today itself.

Based on the email sent to HCGirl .... it seems likely since interview slots are going to be opened on Monday.

mbagirl2010, they came in around 1:04 pmish. Also, I submitted two days early. I don't know if it affected anything. Good luck!

I'm crossing my fingers for you all.

I submitted one day after HCGirl at 10PM on Sept 29th. No invite yet and the GMATclub e-mails with HBS in the subject (about the replies here) don't help reduce stress either :) Good luck guys and gals, HBS takes only 20% of applicants to interviews so it is a big deal when one of us gets invited. Congrats again to everyone with invites!

Hopefully there's a blog post coming this afternoon to give clarity on number that went out today versus over time. Assuming they stick to their stated plan of trickling invites out this year, those who haven't received an invite shouldn't give up hope yet!

I am firmly in your camp ...although it seems like invites would have to go out prior to Monday to give everyone a fair oppty to get interviews setup?

I know Sandy from hbsguru mentioned there would be 50-100 invites per day over 12-14 days. So there will definitely be more coming!

Makes me happy although it will do my blood pressure no good. Going through this ordeal over two weeks doesnt seem like fun!

This came from the HBS twitter page:

"Rest assured, there are many more interview invitations still to go out. We'll continue to send them up until 12/15."
