Ny idea how the evaluation thing works , it is somewhere mentioned that they will do a verification of the evaluator , anyone knows is the kind of verification that would be done and approximately how much time it would take for ISB to send the evaluation link to the evaluator ?
Thanks ! Dear hsuya, The link would be generated as soon as you submit the details of your evaluators. Students can choose a maximum of two specializations. You also have the option of enrolling in 2 additional electives." 2. Is the work experience counted till the date of application or date of acceptance/admission/matriculation? Dear mojorising800, Please find the answers below: 1.Regarding the specialization...How does one specialize in any of the fields..i.e. Finance , Marketing , Sales...Is that taken care of once one chooses out of the Core and the electives??...Ans: There are 8 terms in ISB. The first 4 are the core terms and the subjects are common for all. After that the students have to bid for subjects for the next term onwards. It is during that time that you have to decide about your specializations. So, you will be making an informed decision. 2. Is the work experience counted till the date of application or date of acceptance/admission/matriculation?[/quote]Ans: The date of acceptance. Cheers, Sidzzzzzzzz. Yeah there is one additional essay for reapplicants. The essay basically expects you to list down the changes in your profile since last year.

Hi Guys,
I have 6 years experience in IT industry...Will it be possible for me to get MBA(in entrepreneurship) in ISB?
I have one more question.
Are the Entrepreneurship MBA graduates eligible for placements? If so , in what industry they have more chances?
Please give your ideas and suggestions.
Thanks, Raju

Thanks, Raju Dear tiruraju, You definitely can get an MBA in entrepreneurship. The stream has very interesting subjects. Yes, entrepreneurship graduates are eligible for placements. But you have to ask yourself, if you are going for an MBA in entrepreneurship, why placements? Any company will ask this. There are answers for this question too but befor I write something, you have to clarify why entrepreneurship. At least you have to be clear about that. ISB 2011-2012 - Essay1 [#permalink]
03 Jul 2010, 20:03
Guys, Please lend me your thought on this... I am currently working on essay 1 ie: "If we were to admit one more student to the class of 2012, make a compelling argument as to why that student should be you? (300 words max)" My thoughts about handling this essay is to showcase one's diversity to the adcom at personal, academic and work experience level. My hobbies include, engaging myself in lots of water sports/activities eg: snorkeling, kayaking, rafting, planning to learn scuba diving. It may sound lame, but can I risk to project my hobbies in Essay 1. Does it make compelling argument? I am not able to put in such a way that it looks compelling. I can fill the essay with some significant challenges I have taken at my work, but I don't want to sound monotonous. Even my resume will highlight the same. details. My GMAT score is decent enough and so is my quant score which is 98 pc +. But I am not comfortable in highlighting the details which already appear in my app. All the guys who are done or in the process of building essays, please drop some hints. I am totally confused, but I gotta finish this one.... All my friends are out enjoying the summer..and I am breaking my head over these essays .....GMAT prep looks much easier now.. --Sid

Hi All, On 17th Jul 2010 we are planning to organize a Chat Session with ThinkISB, which is a team of ISB alumni as well. I'm sure it would be beneficial for all of us. We just chose 17th Jul since its a weekend and maximum number of applicants can participate. This chat session would be available on GMATClub chat. Here is what we have in our mind currently: 1. A chat session of approx 1 hr, topic related to MBA admissions and ISB. 2. Timings - 10:00 am to 11:00 am. 3. The chat transcript will be saved and posted in this thread for future reference. 4. During chat, you can raise your queries (whatever it may be - admissions, profile, course, ISB campus etc etc) to thinkISB. Please let me know what you think about it, your suggestions and comments are welcome. Let me know how can we make the chat more effective. tc

Hello friends.....i know it is little off track, but need some help at this point of time. I am going to take my GMAT on 3rd august and hoping to apply for isb-2011-12 class. I,m sure about ISb but i,m not sure about which other colleges i should send my score. I understand that it depends upon my profile and my preferences. But i have not done any research on this aspect and now i don't have much time also. so if some of you here would be able to spare some time and give me some kind of list. i will be very thankful to all of you. I have 7 yrs of experience as a mechanical design engineer and i am getting 710-730 in different GMAT tests. Thank you.
