A warm welcome to future Boilermakers.
To those who have got admits, GOOD JOB!
Those waiting for interviews or results, well Purdue is slow. It takes it own time. It always has.
Regarding the question about 75% placement of international students, the visa norms changed and because of the lottery system more people were sent back to their native countries and companies decided that its too much of a hassle. So the placements of internationals in all tier 2 schools has decreased.
Regarding the GMAT scores, this year onwards the scores of candidates will most likely be higher than the previous year as per decision by the AdCom.
The process is that first you get an acceptance mail, then you get a admission letter which you can use for the loans etc, the scholarship announcements usually come 20-25 days after the admission letter. So as you have been doing with the rest of the process, just wait it out.
I'm a current student who was simply curious to see who I might meet in the future and came across this thread and was simply compelled to welcome you all!
I strongly suggest that all those who got admission calls make a page on facebook which is invite only, it'll help you go through the rest of the processes like student loan applications, visa norms, finding accommodations, finding roommates etc much simpler.
A warm welcome to everyone again!
Hi,
Can you tell us about the extent of the scholarship for the international students? I just received an official letter and I have been put in the non-resident category.
Also, There is a clause in the policy that you have to deposit the confirmation amount within 30 days after the deposit link becomes active. So, does the scholarship info comes within that time frame ?
